About the Speakers

Kath Thom
Expertise in Nonprofit Organizations, Coaching & Community Engagement, CEO of Peninsula Leisure

As the CEO of Peninsula Leisure Kath Thom is extremely well placed to deliver more for her community.

This wholly owned subsidiary company of Frankston City Council, is focused on improving lives by inspiring activity and connection. Peninsula Leisure manages the flagship PARC facility in Frankston, the seasonal Pines Forest Aquatic Centre, in Frankston’s North and the Frankston Skatepark. Within this agile model of management, Kath and her talented team have also committed to tackling more, with a specific mission that ‘Every Child in Frankston Can Swim’, aiming to support a reduction in drowning incidents on the Peninsula. Next, they are committed to getting more people, more active, more often, and building a happier, healthier Frankston community.

Jodie Belyea
Federal MP Dunkley

Jodie is a Frankston mum who lives with her husband Dave and their son Flynn, who goes to Frankston High School. They have two dogs and a mortgage. The late Peta Murphy MP and Jodie Belyea shared a passion to make a difference in our local community. Peta supported Jodie’s work with local women doing it tough, through the Women’s Spirit Project – an organisation that Jodie founded prior to taking on the role of Federal MP for Dunkley.

Jodie studied at Chisholm TAFE and taught for a short time at TAFE herself. A not-for-profit leader, she worked at community organisations like Anglicare, government agencies and knows how to get things done. Jodie has a Masters in Business Leadership and Undergraduate qualifications in Youth Work, Community Development, training and business administration.

With 35 years’ experience working across the corporate, community, government and philanthropic sectors as community change maker, Jodie is passionate about empowering people to transform their lives and gender equity. Through innovative employment, education and training programs. She has an entrepreneurial spirit which she combines with community development and transformational leadership practice to support systems change aimed at building communities and empowering individuals.

Jodie knows how to has led the establishment of local, state and national programs for young people, men and women including a National Indigenous Youth Leadership Program and Change Maker Training with the Tamarack Institute in Canada.

Alison Tehan
Nutritionist and Wellness Coach, Owner of Alison Tehan Nutrition

Alison is a qualified Nutritionist and Wellness Coach who empowers women to energise their body, nourish their gut, balance their hormones and live their healthiest, most fulfilling life.

Alison specialises in supporting and guiding women through their perimenopause and menopause transition, so they feel more empowered, nourished and energised. In the process it may mean addressing all or some of the following: hormone imbalances, gut health challenges, fat loss requirements, nutritional deficiencies, lifestyle, stress and inflammation

Carli Phillips
Wellbeing Keynote Speaker, CEO of Corporate Wellbeing Hub

Carli is a Wellbeing Keynote Speaker and CEO of Corporate Wellbeing Hub.

Carli was the Wellbeing Lead at Johnson & Johnson and recipient of the “Best Health & Wellbeing Program 2020.” With a degree in Health Science and a Masters in Business, Carli’s research uncovered key success criteria needed to build successful Wellbeing programs, which she now shares with corporate clients in her own company.

Carli is a Nutritionist, Mental Health First Aider and Lead Researcher for multiple government research projects across Australia. Carli shares her lived experience of deliberately ditching her own selfcare, whilst caring for loved ones, working full time and studying. It did not end well.

Lynda Miller
Head of Physiotherapy, The Sports Injury Clinic

Lynda graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from La Trobe University. After gaining experience at Peninsula Health, she joined TSIC in 2006, where she has been working in private practice ever since.

From 2009 to 2012, Lynda served as the physiotherapist for the Victorian Women’s Cricket team, seamlessly blending her passion for cricket with her professional practice.

Specializing in holistic physiotherapy, Lynda focuses on addressing the complete lifestyle context when treating injuries and conditions. Her extensive experience with chronic illnesses and pain allows her to develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans. Lynda is dedicated to truly listening to each client’s unique story, believing that this empathetic approach is crucial for effective health support.

Outside of work, Lynda is a mother of three very active children. She stays active through indoor rock climbing, Pilates, and coaching her sons’ basketball teams.

Hayley Gravener is a Specialist Relational Trauma Counseller and Social Worker. Hayley has been working in her field of Social Work and Counselling for 14 years. Hayley started her first side business 6 years ago called The Declutter Queen which gave her the confidence to follow through in the years to come, to become a businesswoman.
