Background
As an initiative of the new Frankston Business Collective, we are conducting an awards program for businesses in the Frankston area.
This will recognise excellence among businesses and also showcase businesses and operators who offer their customers and communities excellence in all that they do.
This will also showcase the talent and opportunities within Frankston.

Timelines
March 2023 – Program open for nomination entries
June 2023 – Entries for Award nomination closes
August/September 2023 – Judging of awards with announcement of finalists
Provides a high level of excellence in arranging and facilitating events, holding events that attract locals and visitors and promote Frankston as an events destination.
Includes not-for-profit businesses and organisations delivering excellence in health, allied health or community services and demonstrate service to, and outcomes for, the community.
Consistently delivering high quality food and/or beverage experiences and excellent customer service to the public including accommodation, cafés and restaurants.
Businesses providing customer and business advice via services that offer solutions and assistance. Includes legal services, real estate, accounting, financial advisory, architecture, information technology and coaching.
Businesses offering an exceptional retail experience. Maintains a high level of store presentation, exceptional customer service and a multichannel offer.
Delivering exceptional service and products in the through their skills and products and encouraging apprentices and other industry employment opportunities.

Before you start the application process please note the following criteria:
The application process and self-reflection it requires, will be a rewarding experience.
Businesses located in the Frankston City Council local government area, and was a registered business as at 1 July 2022 can enter.
One entry should be used per category.
Our Judges are looking for concise answers that are relevant, accurate and honest.
They want to get an understanding of the business principles, philosophies and practices. They also want a sense of how the business became successful, and your plans and vision for the future.
Allocate a reasonable amount of time to focus on your application.
Make sure that you give specific answers to each question.
You must answer all the questions. Only completed applications will be considered.
Each answer should be around 1000 words or video may also be used.
‘Mystery shoppers’ may be asked to visit finalists and our panel of judges, who will be drawn from experienced business people, will interview the finalists.
Questions for completion:
Business Excellence: Provide details and examples of what makes your business unique in
your category and how you satisfy customer needs.
Business Innovation: What did you implement to address challenges or leverage opportunities in the last 12 months, and what effect did they have on your business?
