Frankston North Rotary is part of the Global Network of Rotary International making a difference in the world. Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbours, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. Rotary International is one of the largest service organizations in the world. Its stated mission is to “provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders”.
Frankston North Rotary, founded in 1973, has a proud history of and assisting worthwhile causes within Frankston and internationally. Current projects and activities are varied and mainly in response to need. Frankston North Rotary is committed to assisting the needy in both our local community and on a global scale by fostering relationships, providing education, and helping others to help themselves. The club looks to form partnerships with others looking to help in their community. Projects include working with local schools, sponsoring the Junior Community Awards, fundraising for great causes, supplying packs for indigenous communities for End Trachoma and the Seaford Banksia Arboretum Project, planting banksia trees in Seaford. FNR supports Rotary International major projects including the Fight Against Malaria and to rid the world of polio, only the second time in history a world disease will be eradicated!
Service and social interaction are equally important at Frankston North Rotary. We meet regularly and enjoy many social activities. Join us at one of our meetings, or lend us a hand one day! Get to know us and what we do. Our international friendships, partnerships and contacts are extensive.
