Jala Jala Treats is a 100% First Nations owned business founded by Sharon Brindley. Jala Jala Treats currently manufactures four flavours of chocolate bars and 6 tea blends with hot chocolate and biscuits in the pipeline. Incorporating Australian native flavours and Indigenous ingredients into everyday products gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy and learn more about Indigenous culture.
Sharon, a proud Yamatjo/Noongar woman, grew up on Bunurong country (the Mornington Peninsula) but spent a lot of her childhood days in Kalgoorlie with her grandmother. “She would take me out to the bush and teach me how to live off the land,” says Sharon. “That’s when I developed my love for cooking and knowledge of Indigenous ingredients and native flavours.
