We want to share that Bernadine Geary has made the tough decision to step down as CEO of the Frankston Business Collective. Following her mother’s passing, Bernadine has chosen to focus on her family during this challenging time. While she will be stepping back from the CEO role, Bernadine plans to remain on the board and continue contributing to our mission in the new year. We are deeply grateful for her leadership and dedication. We also want to thank Joyie Wood, who has stepped up as CEO. We have full confidence in her ability to lead us during this transition. Personal Note from Bernadine: “I wanted to write a personal note to you as I have made the very tough decision to step down as CEO of the Frankston Business Collective. My mother’s passing has had a significant impact, both emotionally and practically, as I am her only remaining family. This decision was not made lightly. I had stepped back from my community work and other commitments to take on the CEO role, so leaving now is done with a very heavy heart. I do plan to remain on the board and look forward to contributing again in the new year, as I have since the inception of FBC. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with such sincere and warm support. I’d like to personally thank my fellow board members, especially Joyie Wood, who has stepped up as CEO. I am sure you’ll all agree that Joyie is truly amazing.” Personal Note from Joyie Wood: “Bernadine, thank you for everything you’ve contributed to FBC since day one. Over the past months, working together as you led the Collective has been a true privilege. Your hard work, sensibility, collaborative spirit, and dedication have left an indelible mark, and it’s a tremendous loss to see you step down as CEO. We look forward to your continued presence on the board and your impact in the future.” |
