Independent Selection Panel for the 2025 Frankston Citizen of the Year Awards
Frankston City Council is seeking expressions of interest from local residents or business operators to join the independent selection panel for the 2025 Frankston City Citizen of the Year Awards. We are looking for three volunteer community members who bring a diversity of skills and knowledge from various industries and sectors and have a sound knowledge and understanding of the Frankston community.
The independent selection panel is responsible for reviewing and assessing Citizen of the Year Award nominations for the following categories, which will determine the recipient/s of the awards:
Expressions of interest for the independent selection panel closes on 1 September 2024. Panel members are required on 4 December 2024.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our community by helping to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals and groups in Frankston City.

The Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman, Bruce Billson, has launched the ASBFEO Small Business Pulse, an index that combines various data sources to gauge small business health. Over the past year, small business conditions have deteriorated by 3.5%, with ongoing challenges such as increased regulation, rising costs, and slowing demand negatively impacting profitability. This tough environment has led to growing concerns about business viability, fewer businesses considering expansion or innovation, and declining optimism among those considering starting new businesses.
